From 3pm to 6pm every Friday, fans of the Geronimo Inns Facebook page will be given the chance to answer five questions, with their answers hidden from one another until the big reveal at 6 o’clock. With a variety of questions from celebrity through to British culture and your knowledge of Geronimo Inns it is a chance for you to win dinner for 2 at any Geronimo Inn of your choice.

So make sure you head over to their Facebook page this Friday to take part!

A special treat was delivered to select journalists across London; kindly hand delivered by one our Oyster Shed waiters. Brightening up their afternoon was one of our finest bottles of Champagne and a delicious locally sourced British pork pie.

Most were very happy to receive the pork pie as lunch had passed and dinner seemed very far away!

The evening was just as eventful with the lovely Lucy Karsten from the Metro heading to The Oyster Shed to have a go at a Sabrage with Geronimo Inns owner Rupert Clevely.

While Rupert is clearly the master at this, wielding the Sabre with such grace (and very little Champagne spilt!) it was Lucy who surprised us all as she mastered it with great ease.

Altogether a brilliant day for The Oyster Shed!

Tally Ho! What’s that we spy teetering on the roof of the South Bank Centre? It can’t be a boat can it?? Yes it is! But it’s not just any old boat….

Designed by David Kohn Architects in collaboration with artist Fiona Banner, this special installation named ‘A Room for London’ is a new attraction created for the city in 2012.

Available to the public for night-long stays throughout the year, the creators claim that it is a place of refuge, reflection and creativity.

While some who have managed to snag themselves a booking for a nights stay on the boat may just be attracted by the idea of just sleeping on a boat on the top of the South Bank Centre, the creators are also using the space as a place of inspiration for artists, writers, and sculptors.

Although booking for nights on the boat have now sold out, a competition ‘Ideas for London’ has begun, calling for all budding artists and creative types.

With just one question ‘What is your most remarkable idea for the city?’ a winner is picked each month allowing them a night spent on the boat.
